We have a very unique process that all starts with a design. Once your design is complete, you will receive a full detailed schedule of the project with details of every step.

The length of the project varies dramatically, depending on many factors, the complexity of the job, the size of the wish list, as well as the townships availability for Inspections. A basic basement could take as few as three months after permits are complete. The more complex Basements with larger wish list can take much longer. We always strive to complete every project as quickly as possible without compromising quality.

We have learned through experience with over 4,000 basements that it is in everyone's best interest to have your basement completely empty prior to starting. We do something no one in our industry does and we actually give you a living blueprint on the floor of your basement, which gives the homeowner the opportunity to physically walk through the rooms and spaces before committing on a final design. This would require the basement to be empty. We also provide a plan, but there is no substitute for the live blueprint.

We design and build in most of the tri-state area however, for out-of-state projects, we just do design only. We provide a 2D architectural floor-plan, a 3-D rendering, and an itemized construction estimate for $5,000, which will make it very easy for a local contractor to bring our vision and design to life.

Yes we take care of all township permits and paperwork. This is a very complex permit to file and requires quite a bit of paperwork, tech sheets and technical data. We have filed thousands of permits and know the intricate details of what each town requires alleviating the time and stress from the homeowner.

We have a very organized system that has been proven to work successfully. You will be assigned a field project manager who is also supported by our operations staff in the office. Together, they will coordinate everything between the homeowner, designer, workers and the township. All of this would be overseen by one of the principles of Finished Basements NJ.

All employees and subcontractors are vetted and checked out. Most have been with us for many years. We do not hire any day workers and all of our tradesmen are each the best in the business at their particular trade.

Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer any financing, however, we can provide you with a detail proposal which you can use to get your own loan or equity line of credit.

There is a $1500 charge, which is basically at our cost, which includes the materials to lay your bottom track in your basement for a live layout. Full set of plans for permitting, as well as all of the work involved with the permit process. This includes everything with the exception of the township fee for the permit.

Yes we offer a one year warranty on all of our work.

Yes every renovation requires a permit, some people think if they do not do a bathroom or if they do not shoot rock their ceilings, a permit is not required, but this is not true. It's actually very important part of the project, and also extremely difficult, which is why we handle this entire process for you.

It's very important to make sure the basement is dry and waterproofed prior to starting any major construction. We will evaluate your situation and let you know if this is necessary. If so, we will coordinate to ensure that the work is done properly to guarantee no future water issues in your new Finished Basement.

Yes, we are fully insured and will provide all of that information to you as well as the town requires it as part of our permit process.

We are currently in the process of building an amazing showroom where you will be able to come in and make your selections as well as meeting with our design staff. This will make your basement process, much smoother and a lot easier.

All of our employees are skilled tradesmen and masters of their craft. We do not hire day workers. One of the unique things about our company is each tradesmen is so good at what they do because it is all that they do. We do not have (Jack of all trades master of none). All of our employees are masters at their individual trade.
